If there is a designer stepping into the big leagues of red carpets, Zang Toi should be named. Once again, his impecable attention to details, determination for silhouettes and a special taste to select the correct soundtrack for his catwalk, Zang showed at New York Fashion Week his SS2014 collection "Ballet Babe" with a very well deserved standing ovation at the end of the show.
Si hay un diseñador entrando a las grande ligas de las alfombras rojas, Zang Toi deberìa ser mencionado. Una vez màs, su impecable atenciòn por los detalles, determinaciòn por siluetas estilizadas and un gusto excepcional para seleccionar la mùsica correcta para sus shows, Zang mostrò su colecciòn primavera - verano 2014 "Ballet Babe" con una muy merecida ovaciòn al final de la pasarela.
Cory Stearns, principal dancer at the American Ballet, opened the show with a brief ballet dance preparing the audience to what was coming up at The Studio, an ethereal, dramatic and beautiful collection that reminded me to Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake not just because it was gorgeous but because every piece was art in its own right.
As an evolution of his last FW2013 presentation which I had the opportinuty to attend, Zang Toi's collection for the next spring summer is certainly full of sophistication and glamour. Fabrics like satin, silk, cashmere and hand loomed rayons were used in each gown which resulted in dramatic yet flowy silhouettes that will catch the eye of the big Hollywood stars.

Cory Stearns, el bailarìn principal del Ballet Americano, abriò el show con una breve presentaciòn de ballet preparando a la audiencia para lo que se dejaba venir en El Studio, una etèrea, dramàtica y espectacular colecciòn que me recordò al Lago de los Cisnes de Tchaikovsky no solo por su belleza, sino porque cada pieza presentada era una pieza de arte.
Como una evoluciòn de su colecciòn invierno 2013, lo nuevo de Zang Toi para el pròximo verano està lleno de glam y sofisticaciòn. Telas como el satìn, seda, cashmere y rayon fueron utilizados en cada uno de los vestidos resultando en dramàticas pero fluidas
siluetas que estoy seguro, van a captar el ojo de mas de alguna actriz de Hollywood.
